INDIAN ARTIST IN US SHOW
INSTITUTE OF CONTEMPORARY ART, BOSTON To Sept. 7 2008:
“Anish Kapoor: Past, Present and Future.” (click for images)
The show features 14 works created since 1980 and documents the increasing complexity (his sculptures may appear deceptively simple at first glance) and abstraction of Kapoor’s colorful sculptures and installations.
The Indian-born artist (b. 1954), a winner of the Turner Prize in 1991, belongs, with Tony Cragg and Richard Deacon, to a generation of inventive British sculptors.
