2 exciting internship opportunities at Art Radar – apply now
Posted by artradar on February 16, 2009
We have two places for part-time or full-time interns.
This is an amazing opportunity to work with artists and art professionals from around the world. You will learn how to conduct interviews, edit, fact check and write art stories. The bulk of your work will involve researching and communicating with galleries, artists and art players for story-writing and art marketing. Technology is turning the art scene upside down and you will learn about some of the latest developments including how to use the internet as a marketing tool. You will receive a thorough understanding of the latest art trends in Asia – the key professionals and significant artists.
You can be located anywhere although ideally you will be in a major city with a strong art scene. We will work extensively through skype so you will need to have your own computer with a webcam and set up a skype account. Experience with WordPress software and video editing software is desirable but not essential.
These positions are unpaid but the experience gained for your resume will be invaluable. Your work will be read by our site visitors (currently over 12,000 a month) and our regular readers from prestigious institutions including Harvard University, Art Dubai, Asia Society New York, Sotheby’s Institute London, Asia Art Archive Hong Kong, Asian Contemporary Art Week New York and many art publications, art galleries and important collectors.
You will need excellent English language skills. Knowledge of another Asian language is an advantage.
The internships are for a period of 3 months in the first instance with an option to extend for a further 3 months.
Please send your resume and samples of writing to artradaradvisory@anotherdoor.biz . If you have had work published before please send links. If not, you can write a piece about an artwork or artist of your choice (min 500 words).
Good luck!

Hi Farah,
Thanks for your question. There is no deadline right now as we plan to recruit interns on an on-going basis. We also want to be flexible and make space at any time for strong, enthusiastic candidates.
